If you are suspicious about an email, treat it as a scam.  Such emails are commonly used to trick you into giving them your personal information. For details about and examples of such scams, see the IT website at https://www.csun.edu/it/phishing-examples. If you get one of these emails, please do not respond and forward it to abuse@csun.edu.
